About Nord Surge Capital

Hahn Chang, Founder and Managing Partner

 Hahn Chang founded Nord Surge Capital LLC in 2025 to support the economic growth of small businesses in the Twin Cities. Born and raised in Maple Grove and currently residing in Minneapolis, Hahn believes in the importance of ensuring the small business environment in the Twin Cities stays vibrant.

Nord Fund Capital's number one priority is giving small business owners the peace of mind that their companies will continue to grow and thrive.

Personal background

Hahn was born and raised in Maple Grove and currently resides in Minneapolis with his wife, Autumn, 1 year old son, and their two cats, Walter and Chester. 


He is committed to the Twin Cities community and ensuring it stays vibrant economically and socially for future generations. 

Professional background

Hahn has significant experience managing teams and operating small businesses. After working as a Business Analyst at McKinsey, he managed a top-tier Congressional campaign with 20+ FTEs that significantly overperformed the baseline partisanship. After business school, he worked with a holding company operating small businesses and demonstrated a track record of growing EBITDA and improving employee morale. Most recently, he has honed his M&A skillset working in Corporate Development at a Fortune 500 company. He is combining these experiences to ensure that the Twin Cities small business community remains vibrant. 

Educational background

  • 2011-2015, BA from Columbia University, Magna Cum Laude (top 15%)
  • 2021-2022, MBA from IESE Business School, a top European program, graduating in the top 5%
